Tainted?

Looking through stained glass, we wonder why it's unclear, Unable to see the truth, We surrender to fear, condition to see artificially, adapted to the society, moldable without being changed, yet changed to never be the same. material mined, we stand in a daze hoping and praying it's all a phaze. Not at all a phaze, it's actually very real What happens when you're no longer able to feel? we've been tainted by the desire to want what we don't need, need what we don't want and get what we ask for.

Struggling youth???

Hey everyone!! I'm Jo. Just wanted to tell you whats on my heart! Here it goes... Well, I have been fortunate enoughto see both aspects on life (from an economic stand-point) from poor- really fortunate. In the midst of such experiences I have seen what hurts me the most. A lack ofresources and opportunities for youth who are "less fortunate" to explore their creative talents. Being that I grew up on Skid Row in Downtown L.A. I was always surrounded by talented people who had no way of expressing themselves artistically, thus making me feel that I was inadequate and had "no chance". I see youth daily go to jail or even worse get injured or killed because thay have "nothing better" to do. Let's change this!! I have just begun a non-profit organization called Inspired Youth which desires to do just that...inspire youth. (Youth and Arts day 200

is an event in which Jr. high and Highschoolers will be able to attend a full day of workshops and learn more about their crafts.. the hour long workshops include singing, dance, acting, art, screenwriting, poetry/spokenword, camera technique( for film) and much more. My hope is to bring awareness to students that the sky's the limit! By showing youth that they are capable, we will be able to see less poverty, more college graduates and most important a break in generational curses. My question for you is what do you think the biggest need is with the youth of today?? and how do you think people can come together and meet that need?
